01. They add a room to your house

A set of zip screens turns a patio or alfresco into usable space at the click of a button. The fabric runs in a track down both sides, so there is no flapping and no gap along the edge. Wind, rain and insects stay outside. You get excellent privacy and real protection from the outdoor elements, and you get it in about four seconds.

Most clients tell us the same thing a month after install. The area they used four or five times a summer is now where they eat.

02. They protect everything underneath them

Outdoor furniture, decking, cushions, rugs and joinery all age faster under direct sun and driving rain. Screens take that hit instead. Outdoor blinds leave your outdoor areas lasting longer with less maintenance, and the same applies to anything sitting just inside the doors, because the sun never reaches the floorboards or the sofa in the first place.

It is the least visible benefit and the one clients thank us for two summers later.

03. They cut what you spend on cooling

This is the one nobody considers. Stopping heat at the opening is far more effective than fighting it once it is inside the house. Screens reflect the heat of an Australian summer before it even touches your house, which takes a genuine load off the air conditioner across a long run of hot days.

That shows up on the electricity bill rather than in a brochure, and it is the reason a lot of our outdoor work happens in November.

What we will ask you

Which direction the area faces, how exposed it is to wind, whether you want it fully enclosed or partly open, and whether you want it motorised. Those four answers decide the fabric, the track and the gearbox. There is no single right screen, only the right one for that opening.
